| Specialty | Emphasis in the workshops is on teaching academic concepts through movement. Participants learn to tailor movement experiences appropriate for communicating specific ideas to students. Both literal and abstract methods are used to create movements. A Multiple Intelligences approach to learning is demonstrated throughout the class along with active learning teaching strategies. Dance-making and connections between movement-based teaching techniques and popular educational theories are also provided. Workshops are presented in both face-to-face and on-line formats. | ||||
