The City of Aurora is accepting applications for our Dance Coordinator position. This position is responsible for the development, implementation, and operation of the programs, services, and resources to provide dance and cultural arts services. We are looking for candidates with a Bachelor's degree in dance, performing arts, or a directly related field and at least 4 years experience in dance or cultural arts administration including 2 years supervisory experience. 3rd Law is looking for 2-3 dancers for their upcoming performance in January "The CleanRoom," an evening length concert, will be performed at the Lakewood Cultural Art Center on January 15 & 16, 2010. Must be available for rehearsals on Monday and Friday, Noon-3pm and Class 10-11:30pm on Fridays beginning Oct. 26. Additional rehearsals will be required during the week of production. Details on holiday schedule will be given at the audition. Dancers will be paid for performance determined by number of rehearsal hours. A formal audition will not be held but instead we will use our regular class time on the days listed below Wednesday, Oct. 21---10-11:30pm Colorado Ballet (Studio E) 1278 Lincoln Street in Denver & Friday, Oct. 23---10-11:30pm The Dairy Center for the Arts Performance Space 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder Space is limited so please respond to this email or contact G. | DANCERS & OTHERS NEEDED TO PERFORM IN DENVER as Extras with NYC Keigwin + Company (Dance CO) Saturday, Sept. 26 at the Newman Center for Performing Arts. The Newman Center for Performing Arts and EcoArts Connections are looking for dancers and people of all ages, sizes, races/ethnicities, abilities, and walks of life to perform as extras in the piece “Bolero Colorado” to be created by NYC choreographer Larry Keigwin. Rehearsals for the Boulder component are Sunday, September 20, 1-6 pm at the Dairy Center for the Arts, 2590 Walnut Street in Boulder; Friday, September 25, 6-9 pm and Saturday, September 26, Noon – 5 pm at the Newman Center in Denver. The show is Saturday, September 26th at the Newman Center and will include “Bolero Colorado” and repertory pieces of Keigwin + Company.
