Changes in CDA Membership!

A big change in membership of Colorado Dance Alliance is that all memberships will now be due on October 1st of each year. And no more reminder postcards.  However, each current member will receive an email reminder sent from the website just before your membership expires. To renew online follow the instructions for renewal (not joining) on the membership page, or on the FAQ's page.

January/February 2010 Newsletter Posted

The January/February 2010 issue of the CDA Newsletter is now posted on the this site. All current members of CDA have been sent links to use in downloading PDF copies of that Newsletter in various ways. Those ways allow you to include, or not include the calendar, and with or without images. Just pick the download you prefer, click on the link provided, and you will gt a PDF format of your choice, which can be printed to give you your own hard copy. If you have lost the email we sent with the links (through Constant Contact) simply contact us through the "Contact Us"  page and we will send you a new copy.

Opening for Part-Time Newsletter Editor/Website Manager

The Colorado Dance Alliance, a not-for-profit organization serving the dance community throughout Colorado, provides as one of its services a website (www.codance.org) and a bi-monthly online newsletter.  Among other things, the newsletter includes articles about dance and dance education, about dance in Colorado, a detailed performance calendar as well as listings of classes and workshops and job and other opportunities. The Alliance is currently seeking a newsletter editor/website manager to perform the following functions:

• Solicit input for newsletter articles and edit all content
• Be responsible for developing a fully laid-out version of the newsletter, including the calendar, in digital format for each bi-monthly issue 
• Be able to create PDF links using the Content Management System (CMS)
• Screen and edit listings for the CDA performance calendar
• Screen and edit listings for all other posts, including classes, workshops, jobs, auditions and other opportunities
• Follow up on all postings by asking posters to check for the accuracy of their listing
• Be responsible for sending Constant Contact emails to members on a monthly basis
• Act as technical manager of the website and assist CDA volunteers
• Report directly to the CDA Website Committee Chairman and be responsible for final content of website

Applicants should have the following skills:

• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Ability to learn to use the CMS and related web technologies in order to manipulate web content
• Experience in PDF and/or HTML coding
• Experience or knowledge in dance or dance education
• Ability to effectively use and engage volunteers
• People skills necessary for interacting with clients, the CDA Board, and web technical personnel
